MacBeth Quotes
Act 3
Banquo: “I fear /Thou play’dst most foully for it.”
In this quote, Banquo is expressing his disappoint and disgust in Macbeth's actions. Banquo is clearly showing that he is unhappy with Macbeth's choice and he shouldn't have done it. Basically, Banquo says that he fears that Macbeth "play'dst most foully" for the titles he has won. I think this quote is meaningful because it foreshadowed jealously and revenge. Banquo seems jealous that Macbeth got all this power but he played "foul" for it. Also, both men can plot revenge on each other because after this line both men seem to not like each other anymore. Macbeth is surprised/mad his friend would ever say that, and Banquo is mad that Macbeth has a higher title from foul play.
Act 1
All 3 witches: "Fair is foul, and foul is fair"
I believe this quote has a very important meaning because it occurs frequently in the play. I think it means that whatever is foul to a man is fair or common to a witch. I think the point that they are trying to get across to Macbeth is one, to creep him out, and two it is that what is bad to him is good to the witches. This is because the witches are full of evil things.

I would definitely agree with your analyses of these quotes, particularly with Banquo's quote. I am looking forward to the development of "fair is foul, and foul is fair" throughout the book.
