Post 1

Dear Mom & Dad,
For my NHD project, I picked to focus of Dachau because I'm fascinated in the topic of the holocaust. Throughout my research on Dachau, I have learned some far interesting things. For example, an interesting fact I learned was that Dachau was primarily built for political prisoners. Political prisoners would go there because of them standing out to the government. This information ties in to my research question because if they had not been taken to the concentration camp, would the system of government be different? I argue that the system of government would be completely different if the voices of the political prisoners were heard. Their voices in government are significant because without them things would have ran more smoothly.

The political prisoners at the concentration camp Dachau significance has changed history for ever. Not only was the concentration camp built just for the political prisoners, but its other purpose was to keep the prisoners quiet. The Nazi government did this by imprisoning them. The imprisonment of the political prisoners at Dachau is significant because without the voices of these Communist, Socialist, trade unionists, and etc. there would not have been as much denial and things would have ran more smoothly. The political prisoners held at the concentration camp Dachau’s responsibility and loyalty as a citizen became secondary because of the absence of the human rights of free speech. These prisoners were treated unjust because of there beliefs about a particularly different regime. The biased government was using the strategy of taking away the voices of these political prisoners to help prevent negative word about there corrupt system. If they hadn't taken the prisoners voices away, would the system of government have turned out differently?
